Jessie Condon, LCMHC, founder of Nova Counseling & Wellness
Meet Jessie

you can be holding it all together and quietly coming undone.

I’m Jessie Condon, founder of Nova Counseling & Wellness, and I’ve been a therapist since 2013. My style is warm and down-to-earth: I bring my real personality into the room and invite you to do the same. Expect honest conversation, some laughter, and room for the hard stuff too.

I don’t think therapy is about “fixing” you. We all build patterns that once kept us safe; together we get curious about them and start shaping new ones that fit the life you actually want. You’ll leave with real understanding and practical tools you can use between sessions.

“We are humans, being. It’s our first time doing life.”

In my words

why I do this work

It started in a high school psychology class, where I got hooked on how our thoughts, emotions, and experiences shape what we do. That was also a hard stretch in my own life, and my school guidance counselor gave me somewhere to talk without being judged. Having someone who would just listen was something I needed, and it’s a big part of why I wanted to offer the same thing to other people.

From there I earned a bachelor’s in Psychology at Western Carolina University and a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at North Carolina Central University. Since then I’ve kept building my skills and earned licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) in North Carolina, and as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina. I’m also a Qualified Professional Supervisor (QPS).

The practical picture

who I work with, and what a session feels like

01

Who I work with

Adults, individually or in a small group, in person in Charlotte or by secure video across North and South Carolina.

02

What a session feels like

A mix of talking and doing. We trace a pattern back to where it started, then use grounding skills to settle what shows up in your body, so you have words for what your nervous system is doing.

03

What we won’t do

No script, no fixing, no pretending to have it together for my benefit. We work at the pace your week can hold.
